World's oldest phonograph

Post by Nat »

Have a look at http://cgi.ebay.com/Victrola-VV7-10-Ort ... 2a032e299a

There are very few phonographs left from 1558!

If you look just to the left of the tone-arm some person called Christopher Columbus has scratched his name into the finish!

I know for a fact that the dinosaurs of prehistoric times used to dance to fox-trots played on wind-up phonographs, and I have the photographs to prove it.

Did you notice how close this machine is to Union? It's about a thirty minute bike ride on my Schwinn Phantom and that's on a sixty five pound bike! Jerry Blais

Someone really should snap it up - it is also "the 2nd rares units to find". But what could be more rare than a 1558 Victrola? He's obviously got something really good that he's not sharing with us. Perhaps a DVD of the signing of Magna Carta?
