Radio-Gramophone- Desk-Thingy

Here's the late 30's answer to the Columbia Regent. If you look you can see the automatic changer to the left of the cabinet. So you could write letters , fiddle with the radio , play records and in this case talk on the phone without leaving your seat. It actually isn't a bad idea.

I think space saving pieces like that were more popular in the UK than in America- apartments and row houses are more usual there than free standing housing.

I guess hooking my ipod up to that would be somewhat counterproductive.
