Too bad the lower doors are missing! The price is right.

It is a nice cabinet though.

EDIT: You know... now that I look at it... I don't think there are doors to go missing, are there? In the last picture... you see the side panel goes the length of the entire machine. In the first pictures you see the "signature" louvers with the drawers closed below and then in the third picture you see the same louvers with the drawers open. (I think?)

Looking closely it looks like there are 4 flip down record compartments / boxes below the horn louvres?

Great cabinet!

the lower doors are definitely missing. those multiple record compartments - call them what you will - in the storage area appear in various higher end columbia machines, all of which keep them contained within the cabinet behind doors.

regardless, if that was an easy drive, I'd pick that up for 75... seems way to good not to. I'd put money on it, that this will show up for sale at either the union show or on ebay - there are just too many dealers in that area of the country.

Well if it does, I'd better get my finder's fee! :D That is something that the internet has just about eliminated . . . I haven't even been offered a finder's fee for an internet-sourced tip ever!

I would call the storage compartments 'bins'.

I didn't even know these existed! What a shame the phonograph is missing. Still, being a Columbia, it wouldn't be too hard to find a mechanism.

Circassian walnut never appealed to me much, but this Columbia looks (in my opinion anyway) much prettier than the Victrolas that have the same finish.

I'm not particularly a fan of Columbias (although my first talking machine was a Columbia), but I'd pick this up if it were anywhere near me.

I inquired about it since I have a friend who lives 20 miles away and could have picked it up but it was already sold. I hope someone on the board here was able to get it.

bins... that's the word I was looking for. duh.

and hmm... figures it's sold, again, I'll put money on it that it will show up at the union show or else on ebay soon enough.
