Posted: Fri Jan 26, 2018 11:29 pm
I'm offering the following paper label Diamond discs for sale:
1. 51799, "Barcelona", B.A. Rolfe/ When The Red Red Robin... Golden Gate Orchestra. Visual E with superficial marks, plays great $175.00
2. 51975, "Crazy Words/ Crazy Tune", Golden Gate Orch. / "A Lane In Spain", Hotel Commodore Dance Orch. Visual E-, plays great. Yes, the Golden gate side is as hot and fun as it sounds.
$195.00 SOLD!!
3. 51768, "I Wonder What's Become Of Joe?", Golden Gate Orchestra/ "Valentine", Jack Stillman's Orch. Visual E to E+. Plays great! The GGO side has a notation in grease pencil on the runout... "Solos abound"... and indeed they do. $195.00 SOLD!!
4. 52108, Electric, "Barbara", Dave Kaplan Happiness Orch./ You'll do It Someday, (So Why Not Now), Yale Collegians (Direction of "Les Laden"). Who are they fooling? This is Rudy Vallee's Yale college band! This is one of the few "hot" Vallee numbers. Visual V++ to E-, superficial scuffs/ scratches not affecting play, spindle hole label wear as shown. Unfortunately the recording volume isn't the greatest on the Vallee side, but my mint copy is the same way. Still WELL worth the price of admission. Plays great. $225.00
I usually assign a "play grade" to my records, but I play DDs on my old trusty Dual 1009 with a cross wired cartridge which tends to pick up a lot of very deep rumble on almost all DDs without serious EQ. I'm sure these will play near mint on a DD machine. In any case, I guarantee all my records. If you are not happy simply return it in same condition sent and I will refund on receipt including shipping both ways.
OFFERS CONSIDERED, as always.
You'll buy these someday, so why not now?
Apologies in advance if the pictures are not in order.
