Posted: Sat Jan 27, 2018 12:19 am
1. 52103, "Manhattan Mary", Al Friedman Orch. / "Moonlit Waters", Oreste Queensland Orch with Vaughn DeLeath, visual E- to E that plays great! $200
2. 52123 "Is It Possible? / "Someday You'll say 'OK"!" Arthur Fields and his Assassinators, Visual E, plays great! $300
3. 52180, "Plenty Of Sunshine" / "Look In The Mirror", Arthur Fields and his Assassinators, visual E to almost E+, plays fantastic. $300 SOLD!!
2 and 3 are Fred "Sugar" Hall and his Sugar Babies, with Fred's sidekick Arthur Fields, of course. These are great sides and great arrangements, from early in the Hall/ Fields collaboration before they "went country". They recorded the same four tunes for OKeh, incidentally, under Fred Hall's name.
Finally,
4. 52506, "Sweethearts On Parade" / "I'll Never Ask For More", Golden Gate Orchestra. A very playable and enjoyable copy at about V+ with label issues "L" side as shown. The last copy of this I saw on eBay went for over $500 as I recall. Due to the condition issues I'll price this one at $200. I guarantee all my records, so if you're not happy return it for full refund including shipping both ways once I get it back.
Again, I usually play grade records but my Dual 1009 with cross wired Pickering picks up a lot of bass rumble off these DDs without EQ. They'll sound great on a DD machine no doubt.
OFFERS ALWAYS CONSIDERED!
