Does anyone know if this machine was made in Oak or Walnut?

Hi Wayne,
I've seen photos of one in oak (Bob Johnson collection I believe), but I haven't run across one in walnut. I have two in mahogany --- one early and one late.
Happy hunting,
Bob

Here is an Ad from the Talking Machine World. Under the image of the Invincible it says, "Oak or Mahogany, all finishes. (Circassian Walnut $50. extra) I have never seen one in oak or circassian walnut, but they have to be out there somewhere. If you find one, please post a photo.

Page 20 of the Sonora catalog I have shows only mahogany or Circassian Walnut variants.
The only Circassian Walnut Sonora I've ever seen is the Baby Grand I picked up several years ago, and it may have come from Bob Johnson's collection.

There is a very nice Sonora book in pdf form available to members on the Antique Phonograph Society web site, and it's free! Great resource for anyone interested Sonora.

Thank you all for the great photos and information. Iām blown away by their beauty. It may be a bit early in the year to start my Santa wish list, but I promise to be good.

I have owned a baby grand and Invincible in Circassian , and a baby grand in green oak ,all of which I regret selling, but something else came along that at the time I had to have.
