1939 Golden Gate Expo 5" Aluminum Record

Just found an interesting 5" aluminum record from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. Amazing that it is still playable. Not sure if it is supposed to be an advertisement for the Expo or if it is a personal recording. Anyway, it is cool. Enjoy!

Very interesting recording! My guess is that some individual might be reading promotional copy rather than risk getting tongue-tied when the recording started!
Back in grade school I made a couple "Voice-O-Graph" records in a booth at the Excelsior Amusement Park near Minneapolis. All gone now!

I picked one of these up a few months ago at the Portland Expo Antique show. I bet it is from the same guy. He had two and I bought one. Here is a link to the video I made of it back then.

My cousins and I made a 78 RPM little white celluloid record in a booth at the World's Fair in NYC in 1964. Wonder if these are the same sort of thing.
