For Sale: VV2-55 Portable Orthophonic - $140

For sale: VV2-55 portable. This works and plays okay. Needs ball bearings in the tonearm base and a new leather on the brake. Reproducer sounds good with no housing cracks or weird noises. I have cleaned and lubed the reproducer bearings. The leather covering on the case is separating at the corners and the handle is missing. I have just lost interest in this after acquiring my Vic II. Asking $140 which is what I paid for it. Shipping will probably be ~$30 via Fedex as this is heavy. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for posting the video too. I have one of these good portables and enjoy playing Victor Orthophonic Records on it.
Hopefully you can find someone interested in it.

The tune is "Hangin' Around" by Warner's 7 Aces. I really enjoy the 20s and 30s dance numbers, and especially the opening piano on this one. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks, Johnny! Yes, the piano grabbed me and then the band. Now yet *another* record to search for . . .
