Does anyone know the correct size of the ball bearing used in the spindle of Victor motors? The one that goes in the casting for the spindle to ride on. For some reason, i thought it was ¼", but I am not sure now.
Thanks!

I thought they were bigger. I had some here, but I am out of them. I will try a few different sizes (3/16 will be one of them) It might be easier to take a motor apart and just measure it. Thanks for your input.

Definitely correct for a Type 1 induction disc motor.

Yes, 3/16” is correct with very few exceptions according to the Victor numerical parts listing. Part Number 3034PF is described as a 3/16” steel ball, the where used column just says “used generally”.

Steel balls of this size are often used in front wheel bicycle hubs. The bearings should be easy to obtain from a full service bicycle shop.

The local bike shop has been a great source of a few ball bearings now and then. I just ordered 100 of them ( a life time supply) for $4.10 post paid off of Ebay.
