I used to have a lot of rubber washers that worked great between a motor and motor board. I am all out of them and wonder what the rest of you use? Everything I found at the local hardware store is too thick. I am about ready to make a punch and get some thin gasket material, but if there is a better idea, I am all ears.
Does Ron Sitkto stock these?

My local Ace hardware has a huge assortment of them. I think they're neoprene. Lots of sizes and thicknesses and they're 5-10-25 cents each. I've been using them for years now. I suspect they're easy enough to make with a punch, but I guess I'm lucky they have them.

I will see what Ace has. I usually shop at a locally owned store that is more like an old time hardware store.

A few years ago I installed laminate flooring in our kitchen/dining area- The sound suppression underlayment I used was "Roberts- BlackJack" and is a closed cell, dense foam about ⅛" thick, that compresses. Since then I have been cutting "washers" from leftover scraps and using them between motors and motorboards. To my ears, it works great! I suspect other brands would work well too--

I'll second the suggestion for your local Ace Hardware.
They carry Midwest brand fasteners, in the pull-out section-drawers... loose hardware, none of this blister-pack / baggie hell you get at Lowe's or Home Despot.
They also have nice selection of rubber / neoprene grommets, which can also double as isolators.
I also like the suggestion on the flooring underlayment.

I, too have bought these neoprene washers at the local hardware store. The size you need is 1/16" thick. I compared that with an original. I have been using these for well over 25 years, and they work great.
