There are a small or large minority of Forum members who like the later electric record changers.
I thought we might start a thread where we share some of our finds.
Here's a 1933 RCA Model 331 Duo Record Changer
I found this radio/phonograph in Long Island for $35.
It never left possession of the original family who purchased it.
It was completely rebuilt by Chuck Azzalina
Reluctantly now on its way to another Forum member.

Maybe a new section in Archives of Featured Phonographs for Automatic Changers. They are wonderful! I recently saw a number of them fully functional at a friends home and they are astounding. Pictures, information, and videos of them would really be a great thing.

1927 Victor Coin-op 10-50 modified by The Badger Talking Machine Co.
This machine will also be on the way to another Forum member.
In the mean time, I'll be working on my 1923 25 mph hot rod.

The 1931 RCA Victor RAE-59 held 12 records and played them sequencially, until manually shut off. After the record plays, it is lifted above the turntable (as the record holding tray swings in below it), and then dropped onto the top of the stack. It featured the ability record from the radio or from a microphone (or both), or playback from record or radio. Pre-grooved records were required, as well as a special needle, for recording.

They would have to quick, changing needles in between records.

FYI
These machines use semi-permanent needles, such as tungs-tone or jukebox type needles that are good for many plays.
Frank,
The Model T is running great.

The 10-50 is a real stunner. It look quite complicated to be able to change records like that. Thanks for posting.

Here's a 1930 Capehart Model 5. It stacks up to 10 records and drops one at a time to the turntable below the stack. After all records are played, it must be restacked, or a new group of records can be installed. This one is coin operated, having a nickel slot on the right side. It will accumulate up to 10 credits.
