Wow... now THAT is something different!

Interesting concept, and it is understandable why it only sold a few. Competing models like the automatic Victors were more practical. Nevertheless, a nice oddity, thanks for finding and posting the link.

I have only seen pictures of the turn table unit before this.
The owner must be quite proud this unique machine.

That's a really cool machine, thanks for sharing. Practical benefit of four turntables is questionable I think. Two should be enough to constantly change and play records without pause in between - disc jockey style. But as shown in the picture, it quadruples the chance for putting the needle on the wrong side of a record

"In the period 1923 to 1932 William Henry Daily of Chicago applied and was granted four patents for automatic phonographs.
The follow up patents were developments of the first design.
They all consisted of four turntables with a centrally mounted tonearm which rotated to play each record in turn.
The reproduction was acoustic with a regular soundbox, tonearm and horn, and the mechanism was powered by an electric motor. They were intended for use in hotels and restaurants."
In 1926, the Holcomb & Hoke Company acquired the patents, and used some of the design features in their new coin-operated automatic phonograph line known as the Electramuse.
The Electramuse was offered in a non-coin op version as a home unit. It was also available in either 10" or 12" record versions.

It's clunky and admittedly a bit silly to our modern eyes, but sure is fun to see in operation.
