Wanted: Tizit for Cygnet Horn

Hello Everyone,
I have a nice Edison Fireside in great condition with a nice Cygnet Horn. Unfortunately, I haven't got a Tizit so I haven't been able to use it in about a year. I have a great model K reproducer that was restored by Steve Medved too so it will really sound nice once I can complete it. Does anyone have a Tizit for sale or can you point me in the right direction?
Thank you,
Melissa

Hello Melissa,

Unless you have the early Cygnet setup with a solid rod suspension (no coil spring from which the horn hangs), you can use a soft, flexible rubber tube - which was original equipment for most larger horns.

Hi George,
I have the older style with no coil. I originally had a Tizit for it but lost it in a move. I have tried the rubber attachment but it didn't work.
Thank you for the fast reply.

Melissa, If it's any consolation the earlier rigid arm Cygnet and crane are more unusual than the more commonly found spring hung horn. It's been a few years ago but fellow Forum member, Stephen Madara, made a very nice replica Tizit a few years ago. Maybe he has an extra or perhaps we can talk him into making a few more.
