This is a follow up to "Hey! Look what I got". These are the pics requested of the adapter that came with my A-250.

Sorry it took so long. Got Busy.

Anybody know what those to thin wires are leading from the needle holder to the body?

Marty,

The thin wires are the linkage pieces that couple the needle holder to the needle bar, in order to communicate the sound from the holder to the bar.

The whole arrangement looks rather weird: was this a "gimmick", or were they trying to circumvent a patent?

I don't get it... What's the reason (or advantage) for the "hinged" area...?!?!?? Most adapter like the "Oro-Tone" ones I have just simply "roll back"... It also looks like the Hinged area has an old rubber "O" ring seal...or is that pot metal??

:o)

Tony, that's a rubber seal. Not pot metal.
