Woo-hoo! Thanks for sharing this one!
Another to add to my "collection" of strobes...yes, I'm odd, I have at least 25 different ones. The coolest is a "New York Gramophone Society" one dated 1950 (?) or thereabouts. It has most of these on it as well, which just goes to show you people actually DID care about playing "78s" at the correct speed!

Good old High Fidelity magazine. Now there was a quality publication if there ever was one! Eventually they merged with Stereo Review (becoming HiFi Stereo Review), and then finally with Musical America. They all had fine writers on their rosters, esp. the record reviewers and the product reviews (Hirsch-Houck [sp.?] Laboratories, IIRC). I used to buy equipment based on their favorable evaluations; in fact, I still own and use the Sanyo cassette deck they reviewed back in 1978, as well as some Dynakits I assembled. Is there any equivalent publication out there today?

I got a scanner recently, so I've properly scanned the original. Here it now is as a jpeg image:

Does a 50 Hz version of this strobe disc also exist?
Also, has anyone a scan of a 16 rpm strobe, perhaps?
Thank you.

For about $20 on Ebay you can get an electronic strobe that works on any disk or cylinder phonograph at any speed. It's very handy and makes these printed ones obsolete.
