Where can I get a piece of leather cord big enough in diameter for use in the turntable brake on a victor type r phonograph?

Thanks,
Stephen

Thanks Wyatt for the advice. I have an old treadle sewing machine that I often use but, unfortunately the belting is too small in diameter for the brake.

Thanks,
Stephen

Stephen,

I've used a small piece of old rubber tubing originally used to connect from the fill valve to the fill tube of a toilet. I slice it down the middle and roll it tightly like a tortilla and squeeze it into the brake prongs. The force of it unraveling keeps it in place and works great...no squeaky sound when activating the brake.
