Unusual Canadian Victor VV 4-3 ID Plate??

A fellow collector shared some pictures of his VV 4-3 and it has an unusual ID plate. The top line says "The Gift That Keeps On Giving". I don't think I've ever seen that before. Was that a promotional thing? Also, the serial number is C18638, Canadian? Was this different than the US version?
Even though it is ID'd as VV 4-3, it has an electric motor with accompanying vent holes in the back. It also has a crank hole.

Victor is not attached to this slogan, but G&S Talking Machines is.
Then searching G&S turned up nothing.
I guess it is to be taken with a grain of salt.

I own 3 Orthophonic Victrolas that were sold by the Victor Talking Machine Co. of Canada : VV 4-3, VV 8-10 and VV 8-36. They all have this slogan on top of the plate. Also, all serial numbers begin with the letter C. Maybe it was a particularity of the Canadian market.

Thank you very much! Does your VV4-3 have a spring motor or an electric motor?

I found this ad coming from the San Bernardino Sun, Volume 55, Number 110, 19 December 1924.
In december 1924, before the orthophonics, they already started to use this phrase (The gift that keeps on giving) in the publicity.
