Smith Ballew on Edison?

I recently listened to a CD I got for Christmas, Edison Laterals 2, The California Ramblers. Those of you who have it, might want to play track 19, "Lady Luck" not only does it feature Glen Miller, but I think I hear Smith Ballew's voice in the vocals, and he also makes a very short solo. I am by all means not an expert on 1920's dance band vocalists, but I thought this sounded like Ballew. I've heard him on Ted Wallace records on Columbia (Ed Kirkeby and some of the Ramblers). Maybe some of you guys knows Ballew better than me to determin if it is his voice. And if it isn't him, it would be fun to know who it is. I like the voice of the vocalist.

"Lady Luck" taken from the Red Hot Jazz web site, in case you don't have the CD

The link doesn't work. Came up as some kind of 'ram' thing. Sorry.
