Here is brilliant New York Stride Pianist Cliff Jackson and his exuberant all black Jazz band from 1930 playing "The Terror" on a Van Dyke (Grey Gull) record.
Enjoy this unusual recording by this somewhat obscure Jazz band. My latest YouTube Video. I had to go back and edit the title because it kept changing Van D y k e to Marlene Deitrich? What gives with that? Is Van D y k e a dirty word??

Now that's one terr(or)ific record!!!

I'm the happy owner of two or three of Jackson's recordings for Grey Gull (including a Madison issue of the classic "Horse Feathers"), but naturally I hope to own the full set one day.

By the way: I've read that "The Terror" was actually Jackson's own nickname.
