I tried every trick in the book to unfreeze the typical Columbia pot metal elbow on a Grafonola model C tabletop. But, alas, it crumbled in to pieces. The tonearm and mounting sleeve are in great shape. If you have one for sale please let me know.
Thanks!!

Hello,
I hope you can find one but this Wanted post appears often.
Brian on here had the issue and actually saved his with a wooden dowel.
I broke mine before he showed me the trick.
My advice is to buy the elongated one like shown and cut it with a hack saw. It will be too thick but a shaving of about 1/16 of the circumference will do it. I don't have any real tools for that but I used my belt sander with 60 grit.
The only issue is that the screw mount to hold the elbow in will be in the back and the screw hole in the front so you cant secure the elbow in the base.
These elongated elbows are more prevalent...
There IS someone who makes them but they are silly expensive...
Best,
Kirk

Thanks, Kirk. How silly and who makes them?

Thank You for posting this source. I had never heard of them before; and their prices seem OK for repair/rebuilds that I don't want to handle myself. Anyone in the group who has used them before? Happy with their work? Thanks, Mark
