One of my better restorations.
Cabinet was taken all apart and all joints re-glued.
Bedplate separated and painted and re-striped.

Nice! What kind of paint did you use?

Very well done. Now we know what they looked like when they were new.

Thanks for sharing.

It probably looks a bit better than new. Very nice.

Are you sure it wasn't Farmerized? For those new or unaware, Steve Farmer set the high bar for any quality restoration so this is meant as a well deserved compliment. :) We recently lost Steve but when I see a quality restoration I will always think of him. Well done!

Awesome job!! Do you have some pictures of before and during restoration? Any tips on the process you used? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks

This was done a number of years ago. I had before and after pictures but just found a CD with the after pictures. I remember the before pictures were hosted online but that site no longer exist. Hope I can find copies. As far as the process it was most common sense from tinkering with anything mechanical from childhood. My Mom always told everyone that when I was 4yrs old anything I could not take apart would end up in the pit latrine outdoors.

The pin striping was done with a gold metallic pen and clear coated afterwards.
