I know that several of the people that used to make parts no longer do for the Victor Generation 1 Changer. I know that I will have a need and others have expressed a need. I know that there are a few casting plastic parts available and if everyone is fine going that direction, I certainly understand. Mine will be aluminum.

I just want to gauge interest.

Unfortunately, polls do not work if you have your "board style" set to the default "anachronist".

I would be very willing to pay for high quality METAL parts

I believe there would be a demand for several sets.

The changer in the 10-50 has a number of parts which should be made of non-aluminum parts. I say that because aluminum is too light for the "shoe" to work properly. That part must be heavy to counter-balance the weight of a record disc. Further, aluminum does not have a good surface for most paints. It must be treated first so that petroleum based paints will adhere well (prevents flaking in the future). I would recommend bronze castings or 3D printed metals such as bronze, zinc, iron or pewter.
If you can produce high quality metal parts that need minimum trimming on installation, I would be interested in at least one set.

It is in the early stages yet but I am working on producing an entire set in casting bronze. I am a retired manufacturing jeweler and have been using the lost wax casting process to make a few sets. I am current working on a 10-50, 10-51 and 9-55. The process involves making a rubber mold of the pot metal parts which on some cases need to be a 2 piece mold. Once made, wax is injected into the mold and then each piece has to be filed because of swelling, crack filled and then polished.

Once each improved wax model is cast in metal another mold is made once it is know to be correct on the mechanism thus we have a master mold. Working on 3 machines at once I have found there is variation between each one and no matter what, some machining is probably going to be required. So far the worst has been the VE9-55 with cross threaded bolts and poorly drilled holes.

I don't suppose anyone is intending re-casting the pot metal half moon gear for controlling the internal ariel for a 9-55? Mine has completely disintegrated.

They all have, but that would be an easy one. I can add it to the list. I might even be able to get one made that is from sheet or billet stock. I need to pull mine out to see what it looks like.
