I was looking at an older topic, talking of the VTM holy grail and I stumbled upon this image. Does anyone know what became of the Caruso Period Victrola pictured here?

I don't know what became of it, but I would hope that it remains in the ownership of the Caruso family to this day.

I just hope it has survived. (To be honest, I wish it were surviving at my house!

I’ve heard stories varying from it being destroyed to still being in the Caruso family. Or maybe it’s in my house...

Hahaha Brandon

Well in that case, you may also have a tantalizing cache of test pressings of unpublished Caruso recordings he probably kept in there!

Well, you see....it’s haunted by the spirit of Caruso, and when you take a photo, it just looks like a standard Queen Anne XIV. It’s the strangest thing....

If it is still around I'd guess it is with one of Caruso's two grandsons - who I believe are still alive. His daughter passed in 1999. There is also an illegitimate line including Enrico Caruso IV.
