The First New Pathé Vertical - "Charleston"

The 11-½", French market version of "Charleston" is now available and many more to come. The sapphire is large and blunt enough that I had the luxury of choosing a quieter material than my shellac formula. I think the result is quite good.

Great idea to go with a Pathé disc as it works like a 2-minute cylinder.

Is the groove width the same? I've not measured them, but the Pathé stylus appears to be larger.

Really fun record. Was it performed by the Golden Gate Orchestra? Congratulations on making a fine example.

Esoteric Sound website lists 8mil (.008") stylus for Pathé vertical cut records.

That sounds so good it makes me wish I owned a Pathé disk machine!
