What one machine would you want if you could have it?

I thought after replying to the "things we got rid of" thread that it might be interesting to know what "one" machine would really make your day to have? Even if you already got rid of one like it.

For my self I would like one of the larger edison consoles. Probably they William and Mary which was my first ever edison machine way back. But I might settle for another of the 250 horn consoles as well. ( I guess thats a cop out on the "One" machine, that is harder than I thought).

Larry,

Sorry but I am unable to answer this question. I can't narrow it down to one. I'm not strong enough. :?

There's really only 2 machines I want to add to my collection before I die.
An Edison Opera, and a front mount machine of some descrption. I dont really care how rare or valuable it is, or even what brand- a little Standard would even do (but an open works front mount would be a bonus)

Ok i've tried and tried to narrow it down to just one , but I can't, so i can only narrow it down to 3. so here they are in the order from most wanted to least..
1, Victor 10-50
2, Edison Schubert
3, Victor 8-35

Your right, its really a hard choice, I had to settle for a range of machines within a type myself. And at that I wondered if I shouldn't have chosen something different?

I desperately have wanted a Mammut coin op for years but they are always out of my range. I know of one from a friendly collector and am quietly saving in the hopes its still around one day. I am not the type of collector who wants quantity, just a few.

I'd love to walk into an estate sale or antique shop and run into one a big Keen-O-Phone with the horn built into the lid. I'm easy to please! Jerry Blais

It's very hard to narrow it down, but here are the "top's":

1)Edison Opera
2)A HMV Re-Entrant
3)Edisonic
4)Edison Radio Phonograph

This is a question that I ponder often and one that is too hard to restrict to just one so:
1. an EARLY Diamond Disc A 250...the one with the side louvres and the bigger horn.( and with drawers full of the first DD'S in the boxes. C'mon..it's my fantasy! :D)
2. an Edison Opera
3. either an HMV 202 or the HMV Lumiere Diaphragm model.

And my consolation prize would be a Canadian Berliner Model J which was the Berliner version of the Victor V. They are scarce as the proverbial hen's teeth.
