Hi all,

Need help in identifying the pictured horn:
22 ½ inches long including elbow. Horn opening diameter is 21 inches. 2 ¼ inches diameter for the mouth of the elbow. It has a 4-hole attachment ring around the elbow. 9 panels. Is this a Columbia horn?

(Please disregard the string. I had it hanging).

Thanks,
Mike

Judging by the size of the opening, and the non-split ring, I'd say that elbow is for one of the rear mount B series of Columbia phonographs. The horn itself appears to be a screw on horn, possibly for a BH, or a BI if there is nickel under the paint.

This is for a Columbia BI, BII, BD, and BY, or for one of the higher grade rear mount cylinder machines. With the one piece mounting rings, and larger elbow, makes this for the higher grade machines. You'll need a lot of elbow grease to polish this up.
