While trying to put a new brake pad on a Brunswick I broke the prongs off. Has anyone done this before and if so is there an easy fix?

Yes, years ago--a Victrola VV-80. I did a very low tech fix, I'm ashamed to admit. I put a drop of Krazy Glue on the remaining part of the prong, and stuck the new leather in place. It held for the four or five years I owned it, though I pointed it out to the guy I sold it to. He said he had some spare parts he could use to fix it properly.

It can be repaired by cutting and doing a new arm section. Then bevel both ends and solder them with silver. Then if you need even more strength add a little reinforcing piece underside that will be hidden.
If you need help doing it PM me and we will figure out how to repair it.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking it may just be easier to buy a new one.
Does anyone happen to have a spare in their parts kit?
thanks,
Travis
