Looks like a Puritan to me. I'd love to find one near me, I'd have to "make" some room for it.
Here's a pic of another Puritan:

There are a few threads here on the forum about them.

Matt is correct. It's a higher end Puritan. The basic Puritan had straight sides. The next step up had curved sides right and left and for a little more they were curved on all four sides. I believe they were made in Wisconsin. Jerry Blais

From the position of the horn mouth, the dog and the cat will have the best seats in the house.
What does a Puritan sound like, playing to the carpet? I have never seen one here in the UK.

Yes I wondered too how well the sound would be projected so close to the floor? Anyone have one that has listened to it?

There is a console HMV that has the horn on its bottom, directed to the floor. On a hardwood or tile surface it probably would reflect well.

Just noticed that the Puritan in the photo has "toes" carved into the stubby little legs, don't recall seeing that done before. I think, like a lot of companies, they varied the product line over time, however short that time may have been. The Puritan in this old advert photo has what I'd come to think of as more typical legs. (The phonograph, not the woman next to it!)
