Today we have something related to phonographs and Edison. It is a electric motor in the form of an Edison Dynamo.
First off, it works wonderfully! I have it hooked up to a 4 volt battery, 1 amp and it runs like a well oiled machine.
The condition is completely original. It has wonderful paint, reminiscent of an Edison Red Gem. The highly ornate and unusual pen striping is stunning. Original green cloth covered winding, original covering on the bottom, original finish. This is an absolutely stunning little motor that displays and works awesome. It is a great conversation piece to demonstrate the early days of electric generation and the electric perfected phonograph. It is approximately 3 ½ inches wide, 4 inches deep, and 3 inches tall. A really super size.
I am including a super cool switch that will allow you to turn the motor on and off while still connected to your power supply.
Demonstration motors in this condition are not common. To have one in the form of an Edison dynamo is highly unusual and coveted.
