This is the only example of this key I have come across. It was sold with the VV-330 and some Period models; ref. Baumbach.

It's not for sale, I am just sharing fyi.

My 330 came with (and has) this key. My two period model Victors both came with regular "V" keys, one machine which came right out of the original home, so I'm pretty certain the regular "V" key is what it was delivered with when new, but I suppose one never knows for sure.

I believe that this key came with the 230, 330 and the Japanese Lacquer XVII and 130, which Victor classified as Period Victrolas. The Period Victrolas such as Adam, Sheraton, Gothic, etc. came with their own distinctive keys that matched the style of the cabinet. I have seen the Adam, Gothic and Queen Anne keys. The attached picture is the Adam key.

I recall seeing Karen Johnson, wife of the late Bob Johnson (Mr. Victor), wearing the "elusive" Victor key as a pendant on a necklace while at the Union show some number of years ago.

I have always thought this key was unique to the Victrola XX. But I have no proof.

I picked one up in an auction lot of keys, and other phonograph related items. Spent a whole lot more than I'd planned that day.

I have only come across one also. It was with a VV:330 which I didn't have room for but traded a regular Victor key plus cash to get it. I put it on my VV: 230 which is Cir. Walnut.

That one on the far right is for a VV-100 later style lock, I believe. Not a common key either.

The one on the right actually came with my schoolhouse machine.
