Not sure I've ever seen a C-19 with straight legs and only one row of record storage.

It looks like a C-19 with the hepplewhite lower half. Quite odd

Appears to be about a foot shorter than a C-19. Perhaps a peek under will reveal if it has been cut down from the bottom.

Here are some more pictures. The dealer decal shows it was sold and possibly modified by a piano manufacturing company in Portland, OR. I'm sure Edison would not have approved.

The Lid might be original... The Original Dealer "bug" certainly does look original.
I'm thinking that it could have been an Original Machine that got damaged in shipping from the Edison company (It certainly wasn't uncommon since it was being shipped from Orange, NJ 2700 miles away....and the Piano company repaired and "refinished" the machine for sale at a discount most likely. Don't forget back then,Then had some real craftsmen!
I would like to see a better/closer picture of the Brass Dataplate and some pics of the insides of the bottom legs and the bottom of the machine. It is quite the curiosity! Never seen one like it!
Thanks Cliff!

It's a clever way to deal with veneer damage around the bottom and end up with a phonograph your children might think was the 'right size' The grille doesn't look original to me, it looks too thin. But I think it looks pretty good overall. If you look at the inside of the legs you should be able to tell where they cut it down since there's a rabbit running most of the way to the floor on those to hold the side panels in. They would have needed to fill that with something.

I found this machine for sale on Craigslist in Bend, OR. Thought it was worth sharing.
I also posted this in the EBAY/CRAIGSLIST section,

It looks like someone, maybe recently, cut a C-19 off below the first record shelf and put on some legs from a Hepplewhite or a Baby Console.

I think these are the original C-19 legs modified to s shorter cabinet. The legs are at a 45 degree angle at the corners, that is consistent with a C-19 cabinet, I don't think any other floor model cabinets had this feature. Also, notice how the legs have been tapered on the inside at the bottom. No other Edison floor model cabinet has that feature, again, I think the original C-19 legs were modified.
Might just be a one of a kind. Any other Edisons out there with this dealer decal?
