SOLD: Victrola Electrola Changer Gear Assembly - $100
Posted: Mon Sep 24, 2018 6:51 pm
This is a custom made gear assembly using 4 Boston Gears Company’s steel gears (three L148Y-G and one L148Y-P). One of which is modified to match the original partial gear that mounts to the vertical short shaft protruding from the bottom of the changer mechanism. The assembly base is aluminum.
The second to last photo shows how it is mounted under the changer. The last picture show how the cast aluminum lever is located at the changer's front panel.
I have tested it and works easily.
I have it on eBay but I will sell it here for $75 less, at only $150 and will include free shipping. I’ll also include the lever for free. This is much less than I paid for this gear assembly & lever, and certainly less than this exact setup could be built for.
Matter of fact, I have spent $150 just for the 4 brass gears plus to have the machine shop drill the bores bigger and to add a holes for the pins, for each of the aluminum cast sets of replacement parts I have recently completed.
