Very early serial number 605. This is the 105th built (numbers start at 500).
All 5 of the notoriously bad pot-metal parts replaced with cast aluminum ones made at a local foundry.*
All 4 pot-metal record size selector gears replaced with quality brass Boston Gear Co. gears.*
*Note that the aluminum and brass replacement kits cost about $500.
All the felt in the record paying area has been replaced.
The reproducer has a new replacement back flange.
The changer mechanism and motor were completely taken apart, cleaned up, oiled, and greased.
Includes a new 8' cloth covered power cord with original style plug and socket.
Everything works wonderfully.
Custom cart with 4" swivel wheels included upon request.
Beautiful walnut wood cabinet in just ok shape. The top does have some serious scratches, the original finish lacquer does have some flaking, and there is a little veneer peel in the right front corner. There are just a few scratches elsewhere and there is some areas of the front, right side, and back where the original lacquer is flaking. The inside finish is very nice. There is a small hole drilled through the lower right of the back panel in the record playing area. Zoom in on high resolution photos to see condition.
This is the fourth VE 10-50 I have restored and have sold the first three since this summer to other collectors with very fine phonograph collections who have reported they are very pleased with its operation and condition.
Weight: 320 lbs.
Dimensions: 49.25" high x 48" wide x 25.5" deep
Complete as seen in photos for only $1450.
