Edison Cylinders in Excel Format

Since Valecnik liked my improvements to the Edison Diamond Disc spreadsheet (expect a v2.0 of that with some better filtering options) and requested a similarly-improved spreadsheet of the cylinders, here it is (attached below).

Note that all information in the spreadsheet was compiled and made available by The Truesound Online Discography Project.

You can use the ‘Line #’ to reset the row order after using the auto-filter option shown here:

Their data could use additional clean-up (which would make filtering/sorting it more useful in some cases), but it is now easy to filter and sort, in addition to searching.

As always, if you have any questions or if I can assist you in any way, please let me know.

Thanks alot to MordEth for this and for your similar updating of the DD spreadsheet. I think alot of you Edison record guys will find this very useful.

Also again many thanks to Gramophoneshane for pointing me to the website where it was all posted.

Cheers, Bruce

Bruce,

You’re very welcome, and feel free to grab the updated Diamond Disc spreadsheet...I linked a combined spreadsheet (one tab of cylinders, one tab of discs) here.

That was very nice of him—I’d found it via Google, but distractions intervened before I got it posted...and without it being mentioned here, I would not have been aware that someone had been generous (and motivated) enough to make and provide these spreadsheets.

Does anyone have a cheat sheet showing what the abbreviations mean in this spreasheet?

Just thought I'd ask...
