Victrola 8-7 wheels

I’ve purchased an 8-7 with my brother that is currently sans-wheels. I’m looking for any information I can get on the wheels and how they were mounted in order to find a suitable replacement. Of course, if anyone has originals I would be interested in those as well. This machine sure needs some love, but I’m hoping to make it whole again.

I would contact Ron Haring or George Vollema for these type of parts. Search for them in the Links section.

My 8-8 probably has the same wheels, and I’ll be glad to measure them for you when I get home in a couple of weeks. I think they won’t show, so you can replace them with modern cheap ones.

That was my plan. I’d just like to find a solution to be able to wheel it around. Original wheels would be nice but they aren’t easy to find.

The ones I have are probably totally inappropriate but maybe have quick look just in case ?

Thanks for sharing, but I don’t see a way that those could work without drilling into the bottom. This machine originally had large wheels on the back to move easily from classroom to classroom. Just think recycle bin wheels and you’ve got a basic idea of what these looked like .

Thanks! That’s a good view of the wheels. Man I wish mine still had them!
