Real deal, or Crapophone?

I stumbled upon this, and was curious. I know with radios, there were a lot of furniture manufacturers that made custom cabinets to install various radio chassis in. Is this the phonograph version of that, or did someone "repurpose" an old sideboard sometime in the past?
Either way, it's really nice, IMHO.

I'm not sure what it is exactly but it is Definitely not a VV-IX. The IX was a tabletop machine.

Right, but what he's asking is, was the cabinet made by some company to essentially convert a VV-IX into a console, or is it just someone's home made conversion? Note that the doors and lid from the IX are not there.
I would say it was manufactured for this purpose, based on the cabinet lid, the shelf below the machine, the drop front, and other details, but that's just my opinion based on the pics.

Commercially made- the ad shows a plate from the maker

Others like this have popped up. Here's an example:

These were aftermarket period "upgrade" cabinets for table model phonos. Not common, but likely not horribly valuable unless a collector of this specific maker wants it.
At the price they're asking I'd dive right in!

I somehow missed that picture!

The biggest issue with something like that is the amount of real estate it takes.
