TWINS! Well not really.....

Picked up this RCA Victor RAE-68 at the Stanton auction. It works and was evidently restored to a point but I think a long time ago. I had to partially rebuild the pick-up changing out silicone glue on the armature axle with proper rubber tubing. I have made a few other cosmetic fixes as well. It looks interesting in the same room with my Victor VE10-69. I initially wanted an example of the 3rd generation changer but not necessarily this one. Have been working with Chuck A. to find a RAE-26.

I have a RAE 26, and the one you just bought is much more interesting looking! Some of the things RCA and Victor did to use up cabinets are quite interesting.

I want an RAE-68!! Too bad it was introduced in March 31'. Just before the RCA Program Transcription was introduced.

OMIGOSH! That is a fantastic piece! Great find, I heard the pricing at Stanton's was quite fair this time.
