McKinley's first term vice president was Garrett Hobart. He died of heart failure in 1899. Had he survived, following McKinley's assassination in 1901, Hobart not Roosevelt would have become President.

Estott, that's what I thought too, but according to the DAHR website, it is listed as by Harry Spencer.

I was thinking it was Len Spencer But the brother Harry thing has me wondering.
Is there a definite answer out there.
