Here's a cool blues record, Tampa Red and Georgia Tom playing 'It's Tight Like That' on Vocalion 1216, some blasting on the record but it's a good song
Played here on my 1933 Expert Junior with a bamboo fibre needle

Hey Alex--
This is a great record--covered by several more Blues artists during the late 1920's.
And if you find this recording a tad risqué, you should hear the records of
Frankie "half-pint" Jaxon made during that time.....hehe
Thanks for the great post--
Steven

Check out Half-pint's Vocalion recording of "My daddy rocks me with a steady roll" on YouTube.
'Nuff said.

I have the same song with Papa Too Sweet (aka Tampa Red) on the Okeh label. Accompanied by Harry Jones. Thanks for posting your version.

^ Papa Too Sweet and Harry Jones. I first heard that years ago on Columbia's Root's n' Blues CD comps or something or other. Great record.
