Listen better in 2019: Get your Edison sapphire rotated!

The Edison 2-minute and 4-minute sapphires are shaped like a door knob. When they develop a flat, they can distort, echo, and cause record damage to your wax cylinders. I have encountered too many “restored” reproducers this year that sound less-than-acceptable, that only needed this small service. The issue is that the removal, rotation, and proper setting of the sapphires is very delicate work, that can not be forced or manhandled. And, as we get older, our eyesight gets worse and it becomes harder to work on such tiny items. Every lose a sapphire on a hardwood floor? Carpet? :)

I am starting 2019 with a very aggressive offer, and ONLY for the month of January. Send me any number of Edison 2-minute and 4-minute sapphire stylus bars, and I will rotate the sapphire to a new facet and set them in the bars for only $10 ea, plus return shipping. The angles will be correct, and everything will be checked for correctness.

The OBVIOUS: look with a magnifying glass. If the “door knob” of your sapphire is broken off, then it needs REPLACING. This is also $10, plus the cost of the replacement sapphire.

THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE Edison Diamond Tip Stylus bars, Graphophone Sapphires, or shank sapphires. ONLY the door-knob style found on the Edison Model C, H, K, L, M, N, O, R and S reproducers.

I have several C & H needle bars with missing or broken styli. Do you want quantities? What does a new stylus cost?

Thanks! Cliff

Listening with a flat sapphire sounds a little bit like driving with the analog radio tuner is your car tuned half way between two stations. This is a great offer.
