This tone arm is missing its "heel". I am wondering if it is even possible to find this replacement? I don't know how it came off. I just purchased the machine but have not seen it in person yet. Any ideas, advice, a direction to go in to get a replacement?

Is it a Victor 1? I have a Victor 1, and the outside of the arm looks the same, although they didn't use an upper pin on the inside - the arm is just pushed up against a brass ring in the bracket.

Do you have a picture of yours? I don't know what scale these parts are yet. The motor is Vic I sized. The machine is a G & T Monarch with these "carved" wooden and fabric details on each side of the cabinet.

Is the tone arm original? I originally had a reproduction tone arm on my Vic 1, and the "heel" as you call it, was less than cleanly welded on. I believe the original that is now on it was a much cleaner job (so clean, I'm not even sure they are separate parts).

I am under the impression its original. It has this unique stamp where the gooseneck connects. Its a small trademark.

Are you sure the tone arm does not slide up or down on the pivot pin? It looks similar to others I have seen that worked this way? Bob

I will have to wait and see, I don't have the machine physically in my possession yet. I hope its a simple fix! Anyone have pictures to share of similar setups? Thanks

Complete with cobwebs and dust, here's the end of the arm on what I call my "Victor 1". It actually has no markings AT ALL, except for the Gramophone & Typewriter info on the Exhibition soundbox. It also has a pointy-petalled horn, more like an Edison than a Victor product.

I think you can see that the arm fits up inside the bracket, where there's a brass (or steel?) sleeve as a kind of bearing. The spring-loaded pin at the bottom does the whole job of keeping it in place.
