Babson of Chicago and Winnipeg was of course the mail order king for Edison cylinder machines. Here's a couple of pages from the Babson instruction booklet for one of their Edison outfits dating from the end of the 2 minute era. I've copied the " goodies" page and have any of you folks ever seen and/or played with any of these accessories? I REALLY want that automatic stop! :P

I love that Babson admits that the Tizit is a gadget that leaks sound:

"Always use the rubber connector when you do not wish to use the modifier. The results are better"

That's a great instruction sheet. Yes, it also came to my mind at first when seeing that Tizit attachement. Since I had tried one on my machine once I initially lost the obsession of getting one. ;)

I have a Tizit on my Fireside, it's very useful for a machine you want to take to something like a picnic and assemble quickly.

I like how they call it "Parlor Grand Equipment". Sort of sounds like you are buying a whole sound system or orchestra pit...

I know! I think the Parlor Grand meant that you got a large and very floral horn for the Standard machine. Here's the front cover of the booklet.
I've got another Babson brochure which I should scan.
