I’m interested in collecting records about then current topics like WWI propaganda songs and such. With the 100th anniversary coming up of its passing, recently I’ve been interested in records about prohibition. Either it be songs or vaudeville sketches.

I've got Simon The Bootlegger by Flotsam and Jetsam which is related to prohibition too

One I'm fond of. Revenue men or revenue officers were terms for prohibition enforcers who busted moonshine operations, etc.

Alcoholic Blues, frequently paired with I'm Going to Settle Down Outside of London Town

I forget who was responsible, but "Every Day Will Be Sunday When the Town Goes Dry."

Not a song, exactly, but in one of the "Two Black Crows" series one of them plays the kazoo, and the other asks for "The war song, 'Over There.'" The kazoo player instead plays "How Dry I Am," whereupon the other guy says "No, that's over *here*, and I'm moving to Canada immediately!"

Like Alex, I also have "Simon the Bootlegger" by Flotsam & Jetsam, a comic skit on the Victorian ballad "Simon the Cellarer".

"What-cha Gonna Do When There Ain't No Jazz!" Esther Walker. Mentions the Volstead act

"Three Thousand Years Ago"--mentions it offhand in comparison of ancient Egypt with 1920s America. Weird song.

And then there's Whiteman with Billy Murray vocal: "Just a Little Drink", 1925
