Seen a nice upright, oak not a dinge in the cabinet, but the motor does not crank, probably broken spring or springs as it has 2 barrels, reproducer will need gaskets and tone arm not quite attached right, minor stuff really, for $150.00.
I am wondering where it was manufactured, by whom, and about when.
Grill cloth and felt on turntable still excellent, according to seller was her uncles machine, but she never heard of him playing it when he acquired it about 40 years ago, when her uncle purchased a farm and farm house with all the items in it from a man who then walked away down the road with his money and the clothes on his back, leaving everything behind as the settlement of the farm purchase. There was no interest by anyone for over 40 years in the Fox Phonograph.
No other information could be found on the cabinet or reproducer or motor regarding manufacturers' address, patents, nothing I could see, so far. Would like to know more about it, an off-brand for sure.

I think they were designed to play only Fox-Trots!
Is this the same one that was on the Appleton, WI CL? I looked at the listing, but now I can't remember any details about it. Can you post photos? 'Fox' was probably just a brand for a local store wherever it was originally sold. There were companies that would produce decals and slap them on generic phonographs for small retailers so that they appeared to be house brands. Your 'Fox' is probably one of those.

Wasn't their advertising slogan: "Our platters are fair and balanced"
Sorry, never heard of this company. I suggest we set Dean on this one.

Hi J,
It is very easy. Click post reply just as you would to add a reply. Below the big box that you type text in, there is section titled "Upload attachment". Click browse and pick your picture. You can add some text if want. Click "add this file". You can do this as many times as you like before you click "submit". One thing to note is that the pictures are displayed from last to first, or the first picture you attach will appear last, etc. So if you want to paint a story board so to speak you need to attach the last picture first, then so on.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Brad
