Here's a copy of "I'm Getting Ready For my Mother-In-Law," as sung by Ed Meeker in 1914. It is a re-release of wax Amberol 254.

As you can see in the pictures it has a blue labeled box, and the cylinder itself is in excellent condition. It plays great on both my Amberola 30 and my Standard E. (If you want to hear the E for yourself it is also for sale.)

I don't know if it's a dub from Disc or not. It sure does sound like a direct recording.

Anyway, it's up for sale. If you want some more cylinders, let me know.
Oh, and the Amberola in the pictures is not included, sorry! LOL

With a catalog number under 2500, it's certainly a direct recording.

Yup direct recording for sure, re-release of the wax Amberol recorded in 1909.

Record is SOLD to a Forum friend with a similarly twisted sense of humor!

I bet his family will love that at the next big gathering.

I used to have the 2 minute version by Bob Roberts. Still one of my favorite recordings ever
