Help with I.D. on this Triumph

I've had this for a while but just now looked closely. Looks like a mod c upper frame with no end gate. looks like carriage from earlier with shaver body. Motor s/n is 8248 ???? Seems early for this frame. So what do you guys think?

Triton motor #8248 would have been manufactured around 1900, during the late Spring-Motor period. The data plate has been removed for some reason. The photos don't confirm a gateless upper works, but if that's truly the case, I suspect this machine is a marriage.

I agree George. Looks like a marriage. FYI, there is no end gate.

No end gate cause it has the potmetal bearing
