I just received the news that one of our local collectors(Vancouver B.C.) has just found a Berliner Talking Doll in complete and working condition! It even still has one of the original 3 inch records. Just how rare are these dolls? I don't imagine that too many have survived.

This is only the second known (and most complete) Berliner Talking Doll. It probably dates from its creation in Waltershausen in 1893-1894. So far, the 3" discs seem to have been recorded in English and German.
