I have some Butches Bowling Alley Wax that I want to use on my painted victor horn. Is this a safe option? Thanks!

Probably would not hurt it but in my opinion not the best thing. I'd recommend using a microcrystalline wax.

I've no experience with that particular brand of wax, but if it's anything like the old-fashioned Johnson's floor wax (the kind with naptha - smells like shoe polish), be very careful with it around paint. I learned the hard way with a painted horn and found that it softened and removed some of the finish. (yikes!) Good luck!

The Meguiar's line of automobile finish care products is great for things like this.
