Does anyone know the shape and dimensions of the original governor weights on a Rectorphone? My machine is virtually complete, but because of these two missing pieces it can't be run. As I have to make the parts in any case, I'd like to replicate them as accurately as possible.

Here's mine. As you can see, the sides are straight and the top has a dome shape. The width is 15mm; the height is 9mm at the edge and 11mm at the high point of the dome.

OK, pardon my ignorance, but what is a Rectorphone? I never heard of it.

Since you have the same machine I wonder if I might ask another question? Does the on/off-brake lever merely press against the governor shaft- steel on steel? The thin cross section of the lever on mine provides so little surface it provides no braking what so ever.

It is essentially an off brand "equivalent" to the Columbia model q, however, as far as I know, its performance didn't even come close. Here's a good picture I found of one

Also, metal on metal break? What were they thinking? I'm sure there is a better way they could have done that at the same cost.
