I have a new project and could use a little help. I have this oak Opera Serial #3300 that is missing the 3 corner columns and all the trim around the base.
Is the mahogany case trim the same on the oak case?
And does anyone have a piece of trim that I could buy or borrow please so that I could get a copy made?
Thanks in advance,
Blain

Blain,
There were some very good drawings of the corner columns on the forum about a year ago. If that's of any help...

EDIT: Going back through that old posting, I see that you participated in it, so maybe you knew all this already...
What ever became of Mr. Grumpy? I sure miss his posts!

I believe I have some Oak trim and also have a beautiful reproduction oak Opera case for sale. Contact me via email as I don't always check in here.

Mr. Grumpy was suppose to be here yesterday, but the babysitter was ill. They have a new baby and with 2 young children and a new business, he is kept quite busy.
I hope he reads this post.

That sure is a nice case that Mark has, but I think I will try for the repair. Tom from Gramp's Treasurers has offered to try and make a copy for me if I get a sample.

Why not save yourself all the aggravation of of all the work and just donate the machine to me. I can pick it up at the CAPS meeting so you do not even have to worry about shipping.

Sure thing. This one was put out for garbage pick up in Ottawa, but somebody was quick enough to grab it and put it on Kijiji. It was listed for over a month.
It has a lid and all the other hardware. A little soaking of oil and it ran and played just fine. The trim got lost in the snow.
